The question should actually be: Who is the method not suitable for? Everyone is exposed to environmental pollution. However, there are patient groups for whom we do not perform Inuspheresis^®. This mainly concerns patients with acute heart disease, recent strokes, terminal cancer, acute inflammation with fever, organ failure or psychiatric illnesses such as psychosis or anxiety neurosis, as well as multimorbid patients.

A thorough preliminary examination, taking into account your individual health situation, is the basic prerequisite for treatment with Inuspheresis^®. Treatment with Inuspheresis^®includes medical diagnostics by means of a questionnaire, treatment with Inuspheresis^®and a pre- and post-treatment consultation. On request, the filter eluate can be analyzed externally by a laboratory after the treatment.

You do not need to make any special preparations before treatment with Inuspheresis^®. You can eat, drink and exercise as normal.

The therapy itself is gentle and painless. First, two infusion lines are placed in the crook of your arm, one on the left and one on the right. The blood flows to the machine's disposable filter system, is cleaned there and returned to the other arm. You should allow about 2 to 3 hours for one session.

Just one treatment with Inuspheresis^® removes toxic and pathogenic substances from the blood and improves blood circulation. These successes are measurable and can be documented after the therapy. The recommendation as to how often or how long Inuspheresis^® should be carried out must be agreed individually and after a thorough anamnesis. The results of the preliminary examinations and therapy recommendations will be discussed with you in detail and tailored to your wishes.

As a rule, two treatments are recommended, with one day without treatment between two treatments. Before the first and after the second treatment there is a discussion with the attending physician.

Blood washing is basically a procedure in which substances can be removed from the plasma. Inuspheresis^® should not be confused with dialysis, in which only the urinary substances are filtered. Inuspheresis^® is therapeutic blood washing and is characterized by its highly developed filters and double filtration.

Immediately after the therapy you can feel the regained vitality. However, the effect goes far beyond the mere removal of substances from the plasma. By optimizing the microcirculation, there is an improvement in the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues and organs.⁹

Inuspheresis^® is a particularly gentle procedure with few side effects. However, as it is a minor procedure, we recommend that you do not drive a motor vehicle or ride a bicycle for 24 hours on the day of treatment.

During the treatment, it is especially important for us to be able to take care of you completely. Use the time of the treatment to come to rest and to concentrate completely on yourself. We, therefore, ask you to refrain from being accompanied. In case of a pressing request for company, we ask you to discuss this with us in advance.

In our premises, there are room dividers between the individual treatment areas, which ensures a more private atmosphere. We do not offer individual treatment rooms. The reason for this is that the staff needs a certain amount of space to react quickly when necessary.

Our medical services are tailored to the specific needs of each patient. Costs may therefore vary depending on the type and extent of treatment, the materials used and the patient's individual situation.

The costs of Inuspheresis^® treatment are not generally covered by Swiss health insurance companies and must therefore be financed privately. However, depending on your previous illness and medical history, the costs may be covered and can be approved following an individual assessment.
