With INUSpheresis®, we filter disease-promoting substances and environmental toxins from your blood.1,2 This effective and gentle procedure, also known colloquially as "blood washing", can have a positive effect on a variety of chronic diseases through double filtration - without significant side effects.1,3,15
INUSpheresis® improves the microcirculation of your blood, which means that tissues and organs in particular are better supplied with oxygen and nutrients.2
This highly developed blood filtration relieves your body by removing disease-promoting substances. Immediately after blood plasma purification, patients often describe increased vitality and a general sense of well-being.
The INUSpheresis® process takes place on an outpatient basis in our practice and lasts around 2 to 3 hours. You will lie relaxed on a couch. An access point is placed over the crook of each arm to drain and supply the blood so that it can be purified outside the body by the highly specialized filter system. The therapy is gentle and painless.

How the filtering works
The blood plasma is separated from the blood cells by the primary filter and passed through a secondary filter.
The separated blood plasma is then passed through the secondary filter, which has been adapted to your treatment goals, and pathogenic substances are filtered out. What exactly is filtered out of the blood plasma depends on the filter, its pore size and the combination with other filters.
The blood plasma purified in this way is remixed with the previously separated blood cells and the purified whole blood is returned to your bloodstream.

The combination of high-tech filters used in your case is tailored to the respective therapeutic goal. The filters are designed to remove harmful substances as gently and holistically as possible.

The know-how in INUSpheresis® therapy, which has been further developed since 2008, ensures that the blood washing system is optimally matched to the sophisticated filters and achieves maximum filtration results. The "INUS IN-300" device is designed to meet the requirements of different patients.
From the very beginning, German doctors and Swiss engineers have further developed and perfected the "INUS IN-300" blood washing system specifically for the requirements of INUSpheresis®. Depending on the therapy goal, the high-tech filters are determined. The filters are designed to eliminate polluting substances in the most holistic approach possible.
The lipid filter "INUS-30" is used for patients with pathological increase of cholesterol level. In contrast to classical filters, INUSpheresis® uses filters with a finer pore size. Thus, up to 80% of lipids can be removed from the blood plasma, which improves microcirculation and reduces inflammatory markers and fibrinogen.
This immunological membrane has a special, fine pore size and texture to specifically remove pathogenic proteins and protein-bound toxic substances. TKM58 filters by size, shape and weight without the need for additional albumin.
