Relief in a polluted environment
Philip Mavberg completed his medical studies in Hanover and, after completing his doctorate in the Department of Cell Biology, specialized in the fields of orthopaedics and trauma surgery during his specialist training. After his time as a specialist in a maximum care hospital, he began to train in naturopathy and homeopathy at the same time.
He was particularly interested in redox regulation therapy methods, especially ozone-oxygen therapy in the low-dose concept, as well as the concepts of environmental medicine.
In 2012, he took up a position as senior physician at a rehabilitation clinic in southern Germany. With this move, he pursued his passion for holistic forms of therapy with a special focus on functional medicine. He has continuously expanded his medical expertise, including in the fields of internal medicine and geriatrics. He has also specialized in naturopathy, environmental and preventive medicine, including climatology, balneology, hygiene and transfusion medicine. Based on this variety of specializations, he continues to train in holistic environmental medicine.
In 2017, he took over as Medical Director and Medical Director of the rehabilitation clinic, a position he held until 2023 with great commitment and a holistic approach to patient care.
He became acquainted with the INUS concept back in 2016. Fascinated by the advanced possibilities offered by INUSpheresis® as environmental apheresis, Dr. Mavberg was delighted to take over the medical management of the Ayus practice in Basel in September 2023.

Holistic medicine takes a broad, comprehensive and integrative approach to health and well-being. The focus is on the person as an individual and their interactions with their environment.
In contrast to many traditional medical models, which often only focus on specific symptoms of illness or individual body systems, holistic medicine looks at the person as a whole - including their physical, psychological, social, ecological and spiritual aspects. This places the focus on the underlying causes of illness in the sense of functional medicine.
In holistic medicine, people are seen as active participants in the healing process, not just passive recipients of medical care.
Holistic healthcare professionals generally encourage their patients to take responsibility for their own health and make healthy lifestyle choices, taking into account their personal environment.
The decision to use INUSpheresis®is made after a detailed medical history and further basic diagnostics. Ayus specializes in environmental medicine and offers therapies for chronic time-related illnesses. Ayus uses the INUS concept, taking into account genetics, epigenetics, functional weaknesses, previous illnesses and other factors.
The INUSpheresis® therapy can be seen as a contemporary further development of traditional bloodletting therapy, but with the effect of "whole-body bloodletting", whereby the effect achieved is correspondingly more diverse. It should be noted that INUSpheresis® should always be supported and accompanied by an individual therapy in the sense of holistic medicine as an effective relief of the body.
