I wish for my normal life back.

Vaccination with side effects

In rare cases, complications with the Covid vaccine can be so serious that they represent a longer-term health or economic consequence.

In Switzerland, at least 300 seriously ill patients are demanding more support because of possible vaccine damage.

ETH computer scientist Stevan is affected by vaccine damage. During his INUSpheresis therapy, he told us about his tale of woe at the end of February 2023 in Basel.

Stevan's story

Stevan, a computer scientist, visited the Ayus Center Basel in February 2023.

You seem to have been a happy person before your illness?

Stevan:

Yes, before the accident with the vaccination I was active and happy with my job and my home environment.

Since the vaccination incident, I have lost everything; my girlfriend, my job and my home.

What led to these circumstances and the vaccine incident?

Stevan:

I didn't actually want to get vaccinated.

But the increasing social pressure in the media and at work prompted me to make the vaccination appointment on my way to work - at the "Walk in Tram" at Bellevue in Zurich.

At the appointment, I specifically asked about allergic reactions or other risks. They said maybe some sore muscles.

But I did not receive any concrete explanation about possible side effects at this vaccination appointment.

How did your body react to the Covid vaccine?

Stevan:

The moment I stood up, I felt quite dizzy and I felt light-headed. After half an hour, my condition stabilized, but this dizziness never completely disappeared.

Three days later, I had to go to the office for a meeting, and on the way back from the office, my legs suddenly started to fail.

In the middle of the road, my legs started shaking. I felt a huge pain in my chest, as if someone had stabbed me with a knife. I almost collapsed.

Did you then see a doctor to discuss your symptoms?

Stevan:

Yes, I was looking for the clinic in Zurich. At the hospital, I was diagnosed only with hyperventilation.

What happened there was very traumatic for me. They tried to convince me that I was just too stressed.

Did this address that it might be a reaction to the vaccine?

Stevan:

When I inquired whether the "Covid vaccine" could be a possible cause, they explained that the probability of a reaction was too low.

I was assured that my symptoms would disappear within two days.

But the next day, my symptoms worsened. I went to the hospital again and received the same answer again. But my situation worsened day by day, and more and more symptoms appeared.

In addition to shortness of breath, there were many cognitive problems such as brain fog, concentration and memory difficulties, headaches, and more.

Were there any other doctor visits and examinations?

Stevan:

I then went to see a general practitioner (family doctor) here in Zurich.

She referred me to a cardiologist and a neurologist, but all the tests were normal. After that I went to a psychiatrist.

She said there were no signs that anything was going on at the psychological level.

She suspected that it was indeed from the vaccine and mentioned that this incident should be reported to Swissmedic in Bern.

Finally, was anyone able to give you helpful information?

Stevan:

Later I went to see a dermatologist and she explained that my problem was not uncommon for them and that they see it quite often.

So I asked her regarding the vaccination and if I should get another one. I was advised against it. They recommended that I get a doctor's note.

The doctor mentioned that I should not have gotten the vaccination at all. Based on my gender and age group, he said there would be a higher risk of vaccine damage than just exposing me to the virus.

It seems to me that this discussion is very politicized.

Have you had problems with your head since the incident? Tell us more about it.

Stevan:

In another phase, I woke up one morning and my head was tilted to the right.

This condition worsened within a short period of time. I began intensive physical therapy and recommended therapy for Long-Covid, but my condition worsened.

Sometime in March 2021, I suffered a Covid infection. About 2-3 weeks later, my head began to move and shake constantly.

As a result, I went to the University Hospital in Zurich. There they made the diagnosis "psychosomatic".

But they did not perform any further examinations. They called my situation a functional neurological disorder and said that the problem was only in my head.

Are you very limited today?

Stevan:

Yes, today I cannot function normally. It is difficult for me to take care of myself. I can't cook and only with difficulty shower without help.

After an hour of activity, such as a walk, I am very exhausted and need to rest. I am significantly impaired in everyday life.

What are your goals for getting better?

Stevan:

I am very much affected by the COVID-19 vaccine and just wish to have my normal life back.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to participate in a clinical trial to find out what therapy could help with my vaccine damage.

Since December 2022, I have had a clear vision of how to heal myself.

I use anticoagulant and cardiovascular drugs to repair the endothelium and microclots.

With inuspheresis, I want to try to remove autoantibodies and maybe some bad proteins.

In addition, because of my immunodeficiency, I am fighting for insurance reimbursement.

What are your experiences with the INUSpherse® with us in Basel?

Stevan:

My experience so far has been very positive throughout. The practice is very warm and comfortable, so you immediately feel at ease.

Dr. Ilin and his team have taken excellent care of me. My experience during therapy was very pleasant.

Although I was not particularly comfortable lying down due to my head misalignment and the constant movements, I always experienced support and understanding from the entire team throughout the therapy.

This helped to make me feel comfortable and well cared for despite the circumstances. Many thanks.
